Slag-Resistant Gel Bonded Bricks for High-Temperature Ferro Alloy Smelting
Ferro Alloys: Melting furnaces in ferro alloy production are subjected to highly corrosive slags and extreme temperatures. Sharadaa’s Gel Bonded Bricks (SHARADAA 85SC) provide the high alumina content and slag resistance required to extend furnace campaigns in this aggressive environment.
Ferro alloy production involves high-temperature smelting furnaces that operate under severe thermal and chemical conditions. Sharadaa Ceramics provides durable refractory solutions designed for the harsh environments encountered in ferro alloy manufacturing.
SHARADAA 85SC gel bonded refractory bricks are engineered to withstand intense furnace temperatures, slag attack, and mechanical stresses associated with alloy smelting processes. These materials offer high structural strength, excellent resistance to chemical corrosion, and long operational life. By using Sharadaa refractory products, ferro alloy producers benefit from reliable furnace lining performance, improved production efficiency, and reduced maintenance interruptions, ensuring consistent operation in demanding metallurgical processes.

Case Studies
Product introduction was carried out in a 15 Mt ladle which undergoes frequent pouring and casting.
It completed 20 ladles of circulation as compared to single ladle usage with bottom pouring sleeves
It has also been developed for the higher capacity 30 Mt ladle and is under circulation.
